A delegation led by H.E.Mahn Winn Khaing Thann visits DTC

E.E.Mahn Winn Khaing Thann, president of the Parliament of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the House of Nationalities, U Thit Linn Ohn, Myanmar Ambassador in China, U Soe Paing, Consul General of Myanmar in Kunming and other members visit DTC as a part of their visiting schedule in Dehong on 28 June.


The delegation is accompanied by Dan Zhu Ang Beng, vice chairman of the Ethnic Affairs Committee of China National People’ Congress, Li Pei, deputy director of the Standing Committee of Yunnan Provincial Peoples’ Congress, Wang Junqiang, secretary of Dehong Prefectural CPC Committee, secretary of the Working Committee of Ruili Pilot Zone and director of the Administrative Committee, Dong Chengbao, deputy director of the Standing Committee of Dehong Prefectural People’s Congress, etc.


A conference is held in DTC. At the conference, the delegation are introduced the construction plan of China-Myanmar Ruili-Muse Border Zone and are shown an introduction film of DTC. They have a session with Wang Junqiang and other accompanying leaders. Wang Junqiang briefs the economic and social development of Dehong Prefecture to them.


He says that the mountains and rivers of Dehong and Myanmar are closely linked and people from the two neighbouring countries are with deep friendship. Dehong has had good exchanges and cooperation with Myanmar for quite a long time and has established Dehong Prefectural Business Representative Office in Mandalay, Myitkyina, Lashio, Naypyidaw, and Banman. The friendship between the two countries has thus been strengthened and consolidated.


Wang Junqiang hopes that Myanmar would pay more attention to and support the construction of the China-Myanmar border economic cooperation zone, and build the border economic cooperation zone as soon as possible to make the development achievements more beneficial to the people of both countries.
