On March 2, 2018, while Dehong Jingpo People are joyfully celebrating their traditional Festival, MuNaoZongGe, DTC is welcoming the distinguished guests of Myanmar, U Soe Paing, Consul General of the Consulate General of the Republic of Myanmar in Kunming, and a delegation of Myanmar directors and journalists attending the "Belt and Road”initiative microfilm exhibition accompanied by Li Qigui, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Dehong Prefecture.
The delegation led by U Soe Paing, accompanied by Kong Legan, Secretary of CPC Party Committee of DTC, and Jiang Dian, President of DTC, successively visits the Interdisciplinary and Comprehensive Experimental Center of the Department of Economic Management, the Training Room of the Internet of Things of the Department of Computing Science, the Graphic Design Training Room, and the Institute of Edible and Pharmaceutical Insects, international students’ classroom, Jiangying Liang Dai Culture Museum and Dai style paper-cutting learning room.
During the visit, they are given a brief and comprehensive introduction to DTC. U Soe Paing says that the campus is beautiful and the college provides a wide range of majors. There are excellent teachers and relatively strong scientific research capability. Meanwhile, he highly appreciates the college’s patterns of college-enterprise cooperation, and teaching and training integration.
After the visit, a conference is held in the college library. DTC representatives welcome the coming of the delegation and expect both parties to enhance communication on talents training, Chinese International Education and scientific research taking advantage of the close relation between Dehong and Myanmar.
U Soe Paing extends sincere gratitude to the warm welcome of DTC and says he can feel the paukphaw friendship between Myanmar and Chinese people. He believes that DTC has a scientific idea of running the college, great achievement, beautiful campus environment and excellent teachers, which has laid a solid foundation for the cooperation of education and culture between the two sides. U Soe Paing says that he will actively introduce DTC in Myanmar, support the cooperation programs between DTC and Myanmar Yankin Education College and encourage Myanmar students to study in DTC. Finally, he believes that there will be more opportunities for him to promote the cooperation between Myanmar universities and institutes and DTC in the future and is confident in further cooperation between the two parties.
